I have a spare graphics card, and about 2 spare DVD drives.

can i just slot them straight in, or do i need disks and things?

dvd drives shouldn't be a problem. make sure they are recognised in the bios and boot in the correct order as you see best.

not sure about the graphics though.

DVD drives are plug and play and will work once you install them.  It will say that drivers are being installed when you boot up but they will work once they are recognized.

The video card will require drivers for it to work properly unless it is onboard video.  You can get them from the manufacturers website or from a disk....or just do this....
Right click my computer>manage>device manager>right click on display adapters>right click and select "Scan for new hardware changes"..this will look for the new videocard then will ask you to select a place to download the drivers from.  Click the first option and it will go out to the internet and other places to find the drivers.

They're the same thing. Nvidia does stuff like this all the time, take an old card and rename it

That's a 7300LE, according to MSI's website.  http://global.msi.com.tw/index.php?func … cat_no=130

The LE is a little better, I would use that.  You can't SLI them together AFAIK, even though their differences are slight.
