They want to know how much i expect to earn on an hourly basis. Im applying online and it has a little section to type in the amount, I can't just put in "flexible"

BTW, minimum wage where i live is $7 and I'm applying to be one of the dudes in the store that go around and help people, particularly in the music/gaming section of the store

I need suggestions on what to put down on what i expect to make

Ask some of the employees what they put down when they applied. Ask whether they could've gotten more.

just ask around to see what the avg. is for ppl in retail for large chains in your area

Aha, I make $9 an hour.
Put something like Minimum + .25 if thats what you want.

would that be good to put down? It's a dollar over minimum wage

When I work, I make $10/hr at the farm. It's hard work though so I'm not sure how retail wages compare.

Pay rate adjusted for age.
< 16 years of age 40% $ 6.54
At 16 years of age 50% $ 8.17
At 17 years of age 60% $ 9.80
At 18 years of age 70% $11.44
At 19 years of age 80% $13.07
At 20 years of age 90% $14.71

and add 20% if you're casual.
