We had a monitor at work that had a dead pixel and tried this software that claimed to fix it. It did not work (but after using and tapping the screen it did).

I had this bookmarked a while ago since my really old Ilyama LCD had a white/dead pixel but it didn't work for me back then. Now i have a yellow pixel on my lappy so I'm gonna try this tomorrow. If it worked for you, who knows it might even work for me.

Tried it before, didn't work for me though.
