I found that one on ebay Buy it Now for $10...is it worth it?

Apparently Saitek's got some good ones. I'm just not sure which ones are better than others.

I'm looking to keep it under $60CAD

Saitek X52...I'm picking it up before HAWX comes out in September.

I know you can't use Newegg, but use this for reference:

Don't get the pro version. That's more for people in training to be pilots (like me) or the hardcore aviation enthusiasts. That's the only reason why I'm getting the pro version over the normal.

I've used a Saitek ST290 for a while. It's nothing special but it's cheap and it works.

Im just going to play HAWX with the controller, im not buying anything that expensive just to make it "cool" to play a flying game. I can play much easier and cheaper with the controller

The X52 isn't about looking "cool". It's about being able to control your jet/plane easier and more realistically.

Been using the original, then the Sidewinder 2, since '99

logitech extreme 3d pro is ok.  i have it and it works fine.  tons of buttons to customize with.  i didn't like the saitech since it looked flimsy.  if you take your stick to lan parties, consider the ways in which it might get abused in transit (stuffed in backpack, thrown in backseat of car, etc).  i paid about 30 bucks for mine at the store.  if you can get it for 10 on ebay, go for it.

The x-52 is really awesome but is definitely not required for a game like HAWX. The Logitek extreme 3d pro is perfectly fine for what you'd be using it for.

I use the Saitek Aviator.

Works great, but starts sliding around a little after a while.
I hold it down with my left hand anyways, so that doesn't matter much.

I love my 3d Pro. It's all plug and play right from the start. Real easy to use with bf2.

Thanks for the suggestions. As much as I'd like the X52, it's out of my price range. I think I'm gonna go with the 3D pro from TigerDirect (Total price: $50.34)

This man speaks the truth, use a Saitek st290 PRo right now, and its great, not as fancy as the X52, but its pretty cheap right now, $30 USD

Yes you can.

Saitek Cyborg Evo > Logitech. It's completely adjustable ( meaning you can move everything ) and it's incredibly responsive.

I have a Saitek 3D Rumble Force which I picked up for a grand total of, including postage £4.04. (or was it £3.04) It's fantastic! As the title suggests, force feedback too..

I'm in agreement with Zimmer here.  The  Logitech stick is well known for being a good stick at first, but over time loses calibration and can't be fixed.  Eventually you will have a slight pull to the left or right that will get worse over time until you can no longer fly a straight line.

I've had two, and both did it.  My buddy had one that did it as well.  A hardware forum where I moderate has had at least a dozen people report the same issue, as well as Logitech's own forums being full of this complaint.

Just do a Google search for calibration problems on that Logitech stick and watch the results come flooding back.

Like has been said, I have the  Extreme 3D Pro, this is my second, and it is now having the same issue my first had, just becomes unusable.  I got about a year out of each of them.  My current one isnt so bad, but it is like flying with the rudder constantly turning, need to opposite lock just to go in a straight line :\

After looking at reviews and remembering how my old Logitech joystick's calibration fked up after about a couple years of storage, I think I'm gonna go for the Saitek Cyborg Evo instead.

Is this a good price? $52.14 after 19.99 shipping to Canada

edit...I looked on ebay cause Canadian retail stores would probably be selling the thing for close to $100
