Brb, uninstalling the entire Adobe CS3 suite, MS office, any pretty much every other program I own.

downloads go waaaaay faster using a download manager.  It is really worthwhile using them.

I've had downloads go 1.2mb a second using DAP when stage 6 was up and running (im on 25mb).  Just could never get DAP to work with rapidshare.

Adobe CS3 Suite, MS Office and pretty much every other program you own are complicated programs, not a download manager

Australian internet doesn't work like that. 160kbs is complete, flat out speed for me. I'm sure it'd make a difference but on my sort of connection it's 1-2kbs difference between downloading with firefox and downloading with a manager.
