I just heard an explosion, not that loud, but strong enough to cause a small tremor that wos felt in the block of flats where I live about 5mins ago. Not sure wot it wos but I suspect it might be this:

Update: Looking out my bedrooom window I can see smoke rising from the location of where Bromley-by-Bow is. Nothing in the news yet.

Yup, BBC London news have confirmed on TV that the 1 ton World War II bomb was made safe by a controlled explosion. Bloody strong one tho, especially when it caused my flat to vibrate - and I live a couple of miles from where it wos blown up. Makes me wonder if the windows of those living nearby were shatttered by the force of the explosion, even if it wos a controlled one.
