As some of you may know my ussual video cards are busted. My beloved 7950 GT's have shat themselves and no longer work. I am thusly stuck with a single 6800 GT until I can get new, working and good cards. and I was wondering exactly how good of a card it is. The games I wish to pleh on it are CoD4, CnC3, TF2, BF2, DoD:S and BF2142. I was wondering how low I would have to pleh these games, especially CoD4 as it is the most demanding.
You can play BF2 on high with it, for the other games i don't know.
CoD 4 is probably the least demanding out of those games. Probably could run it on medium.

CoD4 runs pretty poor on my other PC, which has 6800. You're looking at 1280x720 resolution, with all the other effects turned off. TF2 works much better.

I had(and still have) a 6800 gt installed before I started juggling different 8800 cards 6 months ago.
2142 will play fine on medium settings as long as you have a C2duo at 2.5ghz or above.
Not sure about COD4.
The rest should run fine.

Well I overestimated the SAGE so I guess I'm gonna turn the graphics up in CnC3.
I haven't gotten to the BF games and I had to tone down TF2 a helluva lot to get it to run well at a 1920x1200 resolution. I might make the rez 1680x1080 for CoD4.

COD4 is more demanding than BF2 and BF2142. I can run both on all high with 80+ FPS, but CoD4 I can't run all high, I get 30-40 FPS and Ambush is retardedly unplayable.

yeah its supported. no, 2142 just sucks overall, i dont even play it anymore so i dont card. it's terribly optimized, and titans bring even the best PCs to their knees.Wallpaper wrote:

Your 6800gt should be fine for what you are playing.
There are other factors besides GPU.
Titan lag has nothing to do with your computer specs. It's about the server's specs. And yes, 2142 is about as demanding as BF2, no more.haffeysucks wrote:
