You can drink protein shakes as 'snack' just put some oats in there and a slash of olive oil. I also put some nesquick for some more flavour.  You can use milk for these protein shakes. You can also eat some fruit, yogurt, oatcakes, beef jerky as a snack.  Just mix it up so you dont get bored.

I wouldn't recommend it.  You can get so much more protein from the shakes, and the protein/calorie ratio is better as well.  Not to mention that shakes are sooo much cheaper than bars. 

Also, try not to use the bars as a meal-replacement.  I only eat them when I can't get in a good meal due to time constraints or odd circumstances, or as a snack in between meals.

Yeah as a snack NOT as a meal.  Reaseach which protein bar you're going to eat though, as some will have a stupid calorie count and way too much sugar.  Also have a look how much protein is actually within the bar...somewhere between 20%-30% is good.  Maybe a bit expensive but beef jerky is awesome for a snack but watch that salt intake too.

Importantly, protein shakes/bars must only serve as supplements.  First and foremost ensure your protein intake is derived from whole foods...usually stuff chicken, turkey, pork, beef, eggs, fish, cottage cheese...gets lots of multicoured veg inside you too.

4.  Sleep.  Yup, get at least 8 hours.  You grow and get stronger while you are resting not while working out.  So feed your body during this period.  Slow release protein is known as caesin micellar and a shit load of it is found in cottage cheese.  Eat a tub 1 hour before bed and not only will you be promoting growth and strength you'll also prevent your body turning on itself and going into a catabolic state.  If you hate cottage cheese you can buy ceasin protein shakes also known as mlk protein concentrate...just dont drink it post work out.

i heard that too, but later i heard it was bull. I think it's that your body will only process 30g of protein, but the rest kinda sits there to be processed later. or something.

if you wanna make cottage cheese not taste rank, they recommend something like mixing some sugar free syrup in it then letting it sit in the freezer for 30 minutes. comes out like frozen yogurt. add natural peanut butter if needed.

I think this is pretty good.
