Are you looking to Crossfire or go SLI?
What Kind of Processor are you using?
DDR, DDR2, or DDR3 compatibility?

sorry but i know little.
i have recently purchased a ECS GeForce6100SM-M2 motherboard which is DDR2 dual channel. I have got a AMD Athlon™ 4200 X2 dual core processor (2.2ghz) processor with it but it was a a bundle deal that was cheap.

i got it for £58.00
but i was browsing some shopping site and saw mother boards which cost £30 and some about £200 and both were am2. what is the difference
A full answer to your question isn't going to be short, ram - if I can be arsed I might slap a wee 'guidelet' together - unless someone else wants to save me the trouble...
Crossfire is when you run two ATi graphics cards, together.
SLI is when you run two Nvidia graphics cards together.
SLI is when you run two Nvidia graphics cards together.
you might get a sticky, so go for itScorpion0x17 wrote:

"people in ny have a general idea of how to drive. one of the pedals goes forward the other one prevents you from dying"
would be great if someone can put together a guide to motherboards, its the most confusing part of a computer to me
