Got a headset, one side doesn't have sound, anyway to test if something is broken?

Mine does that sometimes, but it's like 2 years old. Turning the volume knob back and forth fixes it. But you probably don't have the same problem..

Make like a Nintendo console and blow air in it. Pull out the plug and blow it off a few times, as well as the jack. If that doesn't do it, try another set of headphones to see if it's the headset or the sound card.

might just be the contact in the computer, pull the plug a little back and forth while playing some music. Try to find the right spot where sound comes from both sides. That was the issue with my old boxes.

Easiest solution: Test different headphones, and test your headphones in an MP3 or another computer.

hah, YES!  my Icemat Siberias do that, probably because 1) i always drop the volume control knob thing, and 2) i constantly roll over the wires with my rolling chair.
