Not sure how old this is but I found it last night.

Last night, Bill Gates and Steve Ballmer unveiled Windows 7, the next version of the operating system, for the first time. It doesn't look like it takes too many big leaps visually, instead changing the way people interact with it. One of its biggest new components is allowing for multitouch displays, hinting that Microsoft is betting people are ready to move beyond the keyboard and mouse.

Still about 18 months away, everything the dynamic duo showed off involved a multitouch display. From a 10-finger Paint program to a hands-on piano program, it all involved fingers. How this will translate to more traditional tasks currently best suited for a keyboard and mouse isn't clear, nor is what else the team plans to upgrade from Vista, but we've got plenty of time to speculate about it.
Check out the video preview. The on-screen piano looks cool.

Sheesh, Vista is barely two years old... Why can't they make another good long-runner like XP, that lasts for six years and up?
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

They already sent out a directive that 3rd parties have to begin driver work on windows 7 and send reports to microsoft or else they will not get the windows certification (good or bad thing lol).  This is purely because there was no such requirement on vista and thus we got all the shit with that to begin with (and to an extent still do).

I think they just want Vista pushed out the way as soon as and treat it like a blip.  Remember windows ME?  Fuck me, they replaced that even quicker.

Sod it then, its not even worth buying vista now if its going to be replaced that soon.
