yes, not as much as the high water mark but the game still holds up.
I enjoy it more now because I am better at it and when I do play, I play with very good players. But if I play on a random server I usually just get frustrated and do not have a very good time.
I enjoy it even more, because I'm a lot better than I was when I started. And a game is no fun when you constantly get raped.
Ye it's still fun, but compared to other games the fun is limited.

Nope. It's a lot more fun getting to grips with a game and learning the ropes than it is putting it into practise. That being said, the poor support have decreased the fun value far more than any repetition. The only reason I've stuck with BF2 is because it isn't repetitive like Counter-Strike where you know exactly when a person is going to come around a corner each and every round.

I joined the game with a few clanmates from CSS/SOF2 who Id known for like 3 years. Theyd been buggin me to get it ever since it came out, but I didnt get it until 8-9 months after. We used to go around in a 3man AT team and rape the shit out of maps like FuShe. They all dropped off the face of the planet within 3 months, but Ive made new buddies via BF2s, so...
But its more fun now that I can play the whole game and do what I want, rather than just revive like a muppet on karkand.
Patches are irrelevant, they have both fixed and killed aspects of the game.

I joined the modern combat in summer of 07. Thought it'd be another FPS, only it was on the computer, so it'd be a little bit different. Was I wrong. It wasn't what I thought it'd be, grab rockets, jump around blowing people up. Vehicles, different kits made it an entertaining experience. It's a better game when you play with people you know.

bf2 is still pwnage, the general population of bf2 are what makes bf2 shit.
when i first played BF2 it was the most amazing game ever.period (the first time i got caught in an artillery strike was particularly ).naturally i played and played.after a while though you don't see it to be as much of a real battlefield anymore,you see it for what it is.it's still my favorite game,but i just wish it was still as exciting as when i first played it.

I hate 1.2 & 1.4 tbh. The game was much better before, they just had to buff LMG accuracy and do not change all other stuff. And there was no need for IO mod.
I still enjoy the game, but it is nowhere close to '05\ early '06

used to be more fun when i was an average player, and played on the same servers and got along with everyone and it was a real challenge and competitive.. Nowa days don't play with anyone from back in the day, so it's not as fun. Owning noobs just gets tedious. I probably wont play it again any more tbh, my PC just fails.
