Nope, you just shoot hundreds of students.

And struggle with 20% - 15% relative poverty rates.

Ted did a good job of making my point already, but....  Let's just say, there's a good reason why America doesn't hold our standards to Mexico's...

It's kind of hard to defend the culture of a nation who has millions of people sneak into a neighboring country just because the job market is so bad back home.

Family values don't include pregnant drug mules either....

Yeah, because people were already on their cell phones and people kept driving to avoid a rubbernecking traffic jam, our society has definitely gone to pots.

Sheesh.

From the  Genovese murder story

On the sixth floor of 82-40 Austin Street, Marjorie and Samuel Koshkin witnessed the attack from their window. “I saw a man hurry to a car under my window,” he said later. “He left and came back five minutes later and was looking around the area.” Mr. Koshkin wanted to call the police, but Mrs. Koshkin thought otherwise. “I didn’t let him,” she later said to the press. “I told him there must have been 30 calls already.”

Perfect example of the bystander effect.  "someone else will help"

That is extreme, though, that attack took 30 minutes -- both the video in the OP and the video I posted seem bad, but it took less than a minute before some sort of help was given in each of those situations..

And what the fuck good is it if fifty people stopped their cars, and shut down part of the city just to stare at the guy? Do you think it'll help a god damn ambulance get there any faster?

Think!

if he was critically wounded, then someone with first aid knowledge would have been able to tell him to stay still/apply pressure on severe wounds/give his breaths for him.

Think!

Or someone without first aid knowledge would've killed him with their ignorance.

at least they tried.  they're protected by good samaritan law anyway.

if i were that guy, i would rather die having someone try and help me than just lay there with people gawking at me.

Uhhhhh...turn him over. *SNAP* No, the other way! *CRACKLE* Is he still breathing?

I'd rather people make way for the medics.
