@SEREVENT, would you please send me a copy? *blink*
Been writing them for a good few years now, improving and such . Just need the money to get them published when the first one is finished.Mine are based around the formation of a fictional specops unit (not Rainbow ) and then each book focuses on some of their missions etc. I use a lot of real world issues to help reinforce why stuff happens etc. Also theres a slight sci-fi aspect to it, not lasers or aliens or anything mad like .SEREVENT wrote:

I'd go with it man, I originally came up with three really bad, and very infant, non structure military stories when I was 10/11. Built the basis of one of my current books on that and obviously adultified it. But I originally only had one maybe two books planned. Expanded it and now I'm up to seven. I got to a stage where the more I thought about it the more I could implement stuff in.SEREVENT wrote:

Book, unless you're directing yourself. It would be harder to get your vision onscreen than through in a book. Word son!
As strange as it may seem, I reckon 'picturing' what your writing or about to write almost like a movie in your head can work really well. Just have to remember to expand ont he descriptive aspect which is what I originally forgot to do lol.
Book, bit late now but still. I reccomend writing a series of short stories at first just so you can create your character and get your style down to a tee, then if you like what you've written you can either expand on the short stories to create your novels or just use the short stories as a form of prequal to the full book by writing the book on something else.
I am no writer but i just like to think of myself as useful...i'm really anything but.
If either of you get published include a page of thanks to "The video game forums i frequented for inspiration and insanity", just don't name it for fear of weirdo's flooding onto here/trackr trying to stalk you.
Another point, if either of you get pubished (and i hope you do) then tell us your real names or your pen names so we can buy the books.

Considering I like to draw, I often develop my characters that way, provides a visual aid as well,Noobeater wrote:

e.g. this is a fairly quick sketched version of my main character v

I'm planning on using a slighlty different name to my real one, i.e using my middle name as my first. But I'll let you know
Thats a nice idea of planning your characters appearance, i suppose its easier to create a persona when you have the image in your mind.

K, do you just write it on word? 'Cause im gonna start typing up tomorrow.
Yep, find it easier to get my ideas down and work with it if I type rather than write, qukcker and also saves my hand from hurting lol.SEREVENT wrote:

You save a tree here and there too. Imagine the carbon you're not using when typing, then let your ideas pour onto the file. I recommend Word, spell checker and synonym/antonym feature when right clicking on a word. Word count to make me feel good after I'm done is a good motivational boost.M.O.A.B wrote:

I've got some random ideas that will be placed in order after I'm mostly done. Don't resist to add some more as you're putting everything together, just make sure the writing before and after still make sense. Don't save everything in one big file, divide your book into chapters.
