1st you need a video capture program like fraps(not sure if battlerecorder will be fixed) and a video editing program.
you can get a mb to fit your processor but its like mine (slow for the latest games)might be better to get a new processor too.im upgrading soon(want more power, need more power)

depends on what socket processor you have, as to if you can transfer it over 754,939 etc

From the sounds of it though you could probably do with a whole new system.

Download and use CPU-Z at http://www.cpuid.com/cpuz.php

It will tell you what CPU you have as well as your current motherboard, memory (including timings) and also what your O.S. is (duh) but also your Direct X version.

I have found this tool quite invaluable when working on an unfamiliar system.

That looks like a pretty good processor.  Look up the chipset type and then search for motherboards that will fit.  I'd do the work for you, but i'm too lazy.

buy Fraps, and record any size you want.  its a real simple program for screenshots, videos, and framerates.  I'll warn you, i just have the trial and a 15 second video is about 150 Kb.
