I suppose this is kind of tech related, feel free to have it moved if not.

OK, so I'm getting a car this evening and it has possibly the crappiest headunit ever in it.

Now I know fack all about this kind of thing so I turn to you the bf2s community for some tips.

If possible I'd like it to have an SD Card reader (4GB minimum) or at least a USB port for a pen drive. Found a few but no idea if they're any good. Capacity to read mp3 CDs/DVDs would be good too.

Built in satnav would be a huge bonus also.

Anyhoo, over to you.

(Oh UK based retailers if you can please)

Line-in and MP3 player tbh.
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

I have this in my S2000.  No card reader or USB but you can connect an ipod with an adapter.  Built in 40gb hd for music storage and satnav.  DVD playback, reads all kinds of formats.  May have to check if NAV info is available for Europe.

go here and wander around.  It's a US retailer but they have good information, good selection, and feature categories.

I have a Sony.  I can't tell you the model number but it was about $120 (without installation fees).  If you have an MP3 player, make sure you get a head unit with line-in and an aux-to-aux cable.  My Sony has this so I can hook up my Zune, which is pretty cool.

Man, your stuff is cheap. I have the previous model to this and I paid about $400.

Also, Get. Now.
