I just hit Staff Sergeant and I was looking forward to unlocking the L96A1 given how incredible it is, but it wasn't available to me.  I already have the M95 unlocked from a previous rank.  I thought that both the L96A1 and the P90 were available to everyone, not just those that have the Special Forces expansion.

Have any of you unlocked the L96A1 that don't have Special Forces?  I've dug around a bit on various forums and so forth, but no one seems to be able to tell me conclusively whether the two new weapons are SF only or not.

I'm pretty sure their SF only.

well since SF was missing second weapons for those two kits i imagine you must have SF to unlock them, plus the fact that you already tried and couldnt is probably a good clue to that...

So get a friend that has SF to log in with your account on his computer and play a round or two.
Then he should be able to unlock about three weapons for you including the L96A1.

why do i see the L96A1 in my BFHQ with a lock on? i think its for vanilla too, coz i dont see any other SF weapons in my BFHQ
