the 790i portion of what you said was not sensible.02fxnmaurer wrote:

however, i agree wholeheartedly with the Q9450 over QX- part.

haha sorry for the outburst....i do think ddr3 is waste of time as it bears little improvement over ddr2 at current...with nehalem coming up its tricky wat to say ... :Shaffeysucks wrote:

I have planned the demo....it runs ok as long as I have one player on the screen but frame rates (below 20) start dropping when I get in a fire-fight with more than one player.Sup wrote:
Try Crysis loubot.
Cool I was looking at the XFX mobo, the one thing I hate about XFX is you need a serial number to access or download crap from their website. I wanted to download the mobo manual to look at the specs and the BIOS lay out but can'tG-NOT_(:0) wrote:
listen bro, go xfx 790i mobo on newegg....its ddr3 and very reliable...the evga 790i's aren't doing so well.
Plus, dont go c2e...thats a HUGE waste of money, I MEAN HUGE! go with a qx9650, its quad, hence you will love the OC'n ability and the multiplier is unlocked...
if not, go with the q9650 this Q3 or the start of July, its the same as the qx9650, but with locked multiplier...so if you can save yourself 500 dollars, do it.
xfx 790i mobo - $350
qx9650 - $1030
q9650 - $ 530
This is one of the reasons why I am not going to upgrade yet. I want to see if this going to be a solid performing processor. The only three things I was to upgade at this point is mobo, memory, and CPU. I will have to invest in a new HSF if I with Nehalem processor.02fxnmaurer wrote:

Ye as haffey says don't go with 790i unless you are going SLi. 790i has more problems than 780i. X38/X48 is the way to go especially if you are going with Intel.haffeysucks wrote:
