Missing shortcut? CoD4 1.6 patch?

Well, i just installed the 1.6 patch. Now i've tried to go on multiplayer, and it comes up with a message saying: Missing Shortcut. The file its looking for is called: "iw3mp.exe"

It just found it, but a message came up with problem with shortcut. The file has been changed or moved, and will no longer work properly. Do you want to delete it?

Do i?

Also,the first time i tried to install the patch i left iTunes on and msn on, and it just didn't get anywhere. So i clicked "cancel" dor the download and it didn't do anything. So i Ctrl Alt and Del'd it. Did i damage a file doing this?

Yes, delete that and make a new one from your CoD 4 folder.

Don't know if you damaged a file, only way to find out is to run CoD 4. If it crashes, you probably messed up a file. Repatch.

So first i delete this file now from the message, or do i say "no" and try to open up CoD4 singleplayer?

Or do i go and delete this file, open up the CoD 4 folder and make a new folder in the exact same place i found the one i'm deleting?

K got the same thing with singleplayer except "sp" instead of "mp". So i'm looking at a complete reinstall?

Try loading it manually. Head over to COD4 directory (Program Files\Activision\Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare) and click on the necessary application. It should work that way!

Yeah what I said is make a respective copy of those. Right click, Send to Desktop (shortcut).

Ok, it won't even load from the disc itself. I click multiplayer and single player and it just sits there. Total uninstall and repatch?

Or just make another one of these folders?

Just save your profile stats and reinstall. It will probably be easier and faster than trying to fix the problem.

Well its uninstalled. I clicked no on the first message which asks you if you want to delete some game data. I just remembered that it takes agesss to install so i'll do it tomorrow.
