I used to watch Meet The Press with my grandparents growing up on NBC.  Literally grew up watching Tim Russert.  Shame to see him die so young.

All the report said was that he collapsed at work and died.  I'm thinking heart attack or fatal stroke.

He had a massive heart attack.  I enjoyed watching him, he seemed like a decent guy.  He'll be missed.

WASHINGTON - Tim Russert, who pointedly but politely questioned hundreds of the powerful and influential as moderator of NBC's "Meet the Press," died Friday of an apparent heart attack.

RIP. One of the few political guys who always did a great job. You will be missed.

On a sidenote, NBC is now royally f*cked.

Crap.  He was one of the good ones...fairly balanced, informed, and not a spinner.  Great, now some yap will replace him and ruin MTP.

I enjoyed watching him and he knew how to moderate a discussion.  He was truely Fox News quality, but on NBC.  Now NBC has nothing for news, they might as well just do away with it.

One of the few fairly objective members of the media. He will be missed.

I read his book Wisdom of Our Fathers.

More than once tears came to my eyes as I realized that what he was writing about was our ability to be remembered in ways the letters described by our own children.

The children of good parents base their lives to an extent on their parents, mirroring them. I know...it's obvious. But, trust me, read his book.

He always seemed to have class,  one of the least biased 'media types' around.
