Hello all,

I have just compiled a small frag video for my friend on Sony Vegas, which is something I have experience with. All sound, video clips, and text works fine in the editing program and the preview box is fine. However, when I render the video, certain clips appear as black screens while other clips work fine. All sound and text works in the render, too. The clips were recorded using x-fire at 25 and 30 fps.

The clips that don't work are random. They have the same properties as the ones that do work.

Loop is not an issue, the whole movie renders only some of it appears as a black screen. The very beginning and very ending work fine with certain working clips in the middle.

This is very frustrating as I have searched in multiple places for an answer and have not found one and I was hoping someone here might know!

Thanks,

Canuck

Tried converting the broken files to a different format?

Using what program?

Handbrake, but I don't think that is the issue as the working clips and non-working clips were recorded the same day and have basically identical properties.

No idea then, do the broken clips play in Media Player as they are?

Yupp they work fine in media player and in the preview video on Vegas. Some of the clips just don't render.

The issue might be that you recorded using xfire and that's still beta (uh, I think).

I could be wrong but it's a possibility.

Yea that's what I was thinking but the weird thing is that the working clips are also recorded the same rounds using the same x-fire video capture.
Beta or not, it is strange why some work and some don't lol.
