Good.
I wonder if the Amero and North American union will go the same way? Should be easier with only 3 countries in it. The Mexicans will jump at the chance.
The African union and the soon to be Asian Union coupled with the EU and NAU takes us too close to a totalitarian one world government within the next 100 years.
you are 100% right on that point, and believe me, a one world government would be bad, good on the people of Ireland, this thing must be stopped.

Ireland says a strong "hell naw nigga, dat shit whack" to the Lisbon treaty.

Voters in Ireland have rejected the European Union's Lisbon reform treaty in a referendum by 53.4% to 46.6%.

Ty Ireland. But I bet it won't make a difference and they'll still go through with it.

I just wonder how many people may have voted for it thinking it was a vote for girl on girl action, because until I read this thread I was for it right from the get go because of the name.

Same reason I vote for Bush.

Ireland thank you, the people have spoken.

This mean the lisbon treaty will not be formed in the EU.
They will try and repackage it again tho!

It still makes me stick that the British was not aloud to vote.
I don't want any one in office that cannot be voted out, that has to be the most power hungry stupid idea I have came across.

Hard to tell. I suppose it would have to actually be formally proposed for the American people to judge.

Well this Lisbon treaty almost bordered on not being formally introduced to the European people for proper consideration. The Irish were the only ones to get the chance to vote on it and the word from Brussels now is that they may move the goal posts and continue with it anyway. They might try a similar 'smoke and mirrors' approach to getting the North American Union idea passed, Governments don't seem to care about what the people think anymore.
