Not bad, specially when hes spinning and playing almost upside down with lights that could induce epileptic seizures.

The spinning won't put you off, upsidedown, it would just be harder to go as fast, and is hair might get in the way?
It's an entertaining solo, but not much in the way of displaying any real innovative.

^ The whole song, worth the watch
Almost anything by Rush, or Dream Theatre is a combination of some of the best players of Instrument
Some of the older drumms like Keith Moon and Brian Downey are some of the gods

I knew someone would post something by Neil Peart. Knew it.
You can't exactly leave him out of a Drum Solo thread.. one of the most innovative players ever.
buddy rich was the first to play upside down
I know haha, it's just that everyone knows him as the best.Phaytal wrote:

Check him out with a bare bones kit at the Buddy Rich Memorial;
Speaking of Buddy Rich; there was nobody faster;
ATG, them videos remind me so much of why I wanted to be a drummer, I still laugh at how people insult him for the angle of his snare drum, as if it makes him bad! Well it bloody worked for him
Best unsigned drummer in the world
I much prefer this kind of drum solos/breaks
lmfao you are kidding right? I know 12 year olds that would eat him alive...belldawg wrote:

If hiding behind your double kick pedal is good, then yeah this guy's alright.

Joey Jordison
You have to come up with something better than that. The only insane stuff in his drum solo is the show, the spinning and the pyros...
Gimme some George Kollias...

I had the pleasure of playing Drums in the band supporting Billy Cobhams band last week in Dublin.

Dayyyam that's gotta burn! Better sense of time, better fills, better cymbal and snare work, and dare I say it? Better use of the double kick. And he's 12. But enjoy the vid. If you play drums, warning, this may make you want to quit!
