I would have done a medley, and brought back old Indy relics. I mean, seriously, at one point in the movie they showed the arc, and I was really excited, thinking that they would make some connection - but no, they had to go on that awful path to Tom-Cruisery^tm.

The Crystal Skull idea was hatched by George Lucas for the Young Indiana Jones series, which got canned before he could use it. So he made a movie out of it.

I would stuck with another religious myth and I definitely would not have brought aliens into it.

Aliens weren't the only thing that ruined this movie for me.

Shia Le..whatever, swinging like a monkey on the vines made me almost shit myself out of amazement. Amazed that they filmed something so fucking stupid!!!!!!!

More proof that Lucas is a piece of shit director/writer/producer (like you needed that after the new Star Wars flicks). In fact, the only good Star Wars films are Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi... BECAUSE LUCAS DIDN'T DIRECT THEM!!!

i dont know what other religious thing they could have gone after, they did Hindu, Hebrew, and Christianity, doing another religious quest would have been over done. i would have liked if that indian undead native tribe with those slings were a much bigger part of the story. aliens were alright though, and yes that shia guy swinging from the vines made me cringe

Yes, but he did not DIRECT them. His direction is sloppy and his story telling is pathetic. It's like a 12 year old is doing it. You can tell the difference between good directing and Lucas' crap. I mean, he did direct Howard the Duck and then bow out after he realized how shitty that was too.
