That game sucks.
True, but the same people that get on their high horses because of GTA, Quake, Doom, COD, etc. utter nary a peep about AA. AA is far more realistic and just as "violent", but it has full government support and is a PR tool for recruitment.

The whole anti-games sentiment is absurd.
If AA is so realistic then how come my soldier couldn't even crawl under barbed wire without getting stuck in terrain (granted, they've probably fixed that by now)?

It's what I heard last time from someone here. It's not really enforced and it's just a guideline or something.
90% of the time when I go to buy a video game rated M, I'm asked for id, and I have a giganto flaming barbarian beard (when it's not trimmed). I've seen kids rebuffed by all sorts of stores. Like booze and smokes, it depends on the clerk. Only games operate a bit more on the honor system...

I broke my arm when I fell off of a roof, so I blamed god for making gravity.

People can blame all they want, but the games are still gonna sell.  As long as that holds true, I don't think we have much to worry about.

If anything, the uproar may actually help to sell the games.

I'm not even sure why CoD4 is rated M. Its violence amounts to BF2 dust puffs, only rendered in red.

Violent video games don't even make kids any more violent. Heck it pacifies them and gives them something to do. The reason poor kids get in trouble more than rich kids is because the poor ones don't have video games to keep them from becoming bore and thus having to find something potentially destructive to entertain them.

Totally agree, im grateful its illegal to sell rated games to people younger than the rating.
