So is anyone else trying to or does have a job sorted for the summer? It was always my plan to get one sorted soon as I finished my exams as I could really do with some upgrades/new phone/laptop/needing to pay for a trip in September.

So far I've applied to a local garden centre, petshop, camping shop, tesco, pc world, comet, pub ... still waiting for replies ...

everyone else got summer jobs sorted out?

I am doing lawn service, and I hate it!!! One of my dad's driends is opening a Subway and I hope to get a job their. Yard work sucks sooo much, and the pay is crap, don't do it.

Wake up at 4:30 in the morning, go to work till 7:30am. Get home, feel absolutely exhausted, and then go back to work from 2:30pm to 5:30pm.

Not true, it depends on who you work for. I do lawn service/maintenance/odd jobs for a guy in town who owns a bunch of restaurants and bars and for his many friends that need the help. I am paid $10 an hour, given tips sometimes, and paid in cash so no taxes.

I also have another job at an ice cream shop, but that one only pays minimum wage with no benefits. I want to quit, but I'd feel bad because I just started a while ago.
