While everyone is concerned about Iran developing nukes, this country already has a stock of nukes of its own, and it seems that they can't control the actions of the Taliban. What is the role of the Taliban forces in Pakistan? Are Pakistani nukes secure? Is the government of Pakistan trying to get them? If not, what should Pakistan allies do?

Pakistan is a ticking timebomb. I would imagine there is a huge tug of war in many aspects of the Pakistani Government and even in everyday Pakistani life as regards support or opposition towards Taliban/extremist elements. For every Pakistani politician or policeman opposed to the Taliban I'll bet there is one who actively supports them.
Can't really tell. Id say the some of the ordinary men on the street support them. The Pakistanis have been locked in conflict with India since their inception. So I'm sure the ordinary man will draw parallels between this holy war and their own.
Wasn't it Pakistan (and the US) that created these militants, to fight the USSR and to fight in Kashmir. Now both seem to be officially fighting back, but I'm pretty sure the general consensus in Pakistan is pro-Taliban/Militant. The only reason they're somewhat helping out (officially) in Afghanistan is because of all the money they're getting from 'em.
It's a complicated situation, I don't really think they are. They probably have alot of sympathisers in the Government, but officially they don't, and they also don't really have control of the tribal areas themselves. Also, quite alot of Pakistani soldiers are in action against the Taliban/Militants in that area, I think their casualty rates are among the highest in this war.
I'm gonna go with the last option.
What I would do is just have Pakistan and Afghanistan cede those messed up mountainous tribal areas to ...well, the tribes (just name it er...Tribal areas). And then mark on the map "here be dragons, yee shall not pass through here"
It's not like there's anything worth keeping in those areas for Afghanistan or Pakistan. Might aswell just make a new country

'Afghan President Hamid Karzai has threatened to send troops over the border into Pakistan to confront militants based there.
He said that when militants crossed over from Pakistan to kill Afghans and coalition troops, his nation had the right to retaliate in "self-defence".'

Fuck Israel
Most of Pakistan is moving away from supporting extremists. However, there are certain regions of Pakistan that are run by extremists. Those regions are helping the Taliban.
Musharraf has a limited control over his country, so America may need to eventually remove Pakistan's nukes and invade the regions run by extremists.

We are already basically at a low level war with Pakistan.

My guess is some people in the government are supporting the Taliban covertly and without the knowledge/permission of the central government.

Pakistan now is what Iraq will be in a couple decades because a real democracy was never created there.
How the fuck should I know?
But what I think everyone should do is stop speculating on something they know nothing about.

I can only speculate that by the use of the word "fuck" you feel strongly against speculation.DrunkFace wrote:
