Studying things of the ancient is making me ill. The fossil and geographical records only tell that somethings happened. I do not know why or in what context these somethings happened, but, clearly they did. When I hear of ancient world histories written down I get excited, only to be disappointed when the next sentence to be heard is "but they have been lost with time" or something of the like. I not only immerse myself in the science of our beginnings. I also sift through countless myths, trying to pick out stories that match up to scientific "truths". It is maddening reading things that are potentially truth, but I have no way of knowing, and most likely NEVER will know if they are in fact, truth. I feel as if I have screws, nails, and wood, but no tools to build anything. What path will my studies take me to next? I always feel like quiting studying WHY and simply accepting the IS. An is without a was, but perhaps a will be. Faith in what?
