they always play themselves as the party of moral, upstanding citizens, despite the fact that they are as corrupt and underhanded as the republicans in every aspect.

Yeah, saw this come out on Saturday I think. This is just another sad example that shows how our government, "for the people by the people", is broke.

I'm in a Class Action law suit against Countrywide...
Funny that the FTC just approved the sale of CW to Bank of America
I just prey that we get our day in court. The reason I resigned being a loan officer was all of the pressure to just write up as many loans in the pipeline, with out really offering the prospective client any real good options.

For the record I was not a successful loan officer... I told my clients the truth.

So, you're saying the the housing market crisis is because of a couple of corrupt politicians?

The paradox is only a conflict between reality and your feeling what reality ought to be.

Usually conservatives consider themselves moral, upstanding citizens, too. Even with regards to corruption, the partisan ants have been flinging the same shit at eachother for years. It doesn't really matter if they're democrats or republicans anymore. What matters is that they're corrupt politicians, regardless of affiliation.

I'm flabergasted, I would have never thunked my government was corrupt and bought and sold by corporations.

hmmm, should I vote for Obama or McCain.  Neither of them could be working for big oil and the banks.

Well, if these guys are guilty, I hope they get busted, but...  you really can't blame the Democrats for the mortgage crash -- the majority of the blame can be attributed to irresponsible mortgage lenders.

If anything this is just more evidence of why a bailout is a very bad thing.  Look at how bad the S&L bailout by H. W. Bush was.

the majority of the problem can be attributed to irresponsible mortgage HOLDERS, not lenders.

Lending to irresponsible people seems pretty irresponsible to me.
