the new dropdown history menu is a bit annoying, but i guess i'll adapt to it
I love this feature. All I have to do is type the keyword into the address bar and VOILA!, previous pages that I was browsing are instantly brought up.cowami wrote:

I still can't find the back button. All I have is a refresh button and an X.
If you've upgraded from 2.0 you may have the add the All-in-one arrow doovah.ThaReaper wrote:

once upon a midnight dreary, while i pron surfed, weak and weary, over many a strange and spurious site of ' hot xxx galore'. While i clicked my fav'rite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning, and my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour, " 'Tis not possible!", i muttered, " give me back my free hardcore!"..... quoth the server, 404.
I don't notice any difference over RC2.
Not at all overhyped.
Not at all overhyped.
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP
The RC has done its job then.Freezer7Pro wrote:

That got over the 8 million downloads they wanted.
They managed to get Total Downloads of 9,407,163
Guinness will check the download counting measure, etc and then confirm or reject the world record set.
Great publicity either way.

Are they counting other mirrors like filehippo? Or just their own?
Lol, it crashed on me
That didn't happen with any of the RCs.

Official World Record: 8,002,530
The Firefox community is the proud new owner of a Guinness World Record — each and every one of you! Mozilla today received confirmation from Guinness World Records that we’ve officially achieved the record for the “largest number of software downloads in 24 hours.” From 18:16 UTC on June 17, 2008 to 18:16 UTC on June 18, 2008, 8,002,530 people downloaded Firefox 3!
This is another wonderful accomplishment in a long line of them for our community! Ever since Firefox was launched in 2004 we’ve relied on our community to help us spread the word, and thanks to projects including crop circles, newspaper ads, giant stickers, videos, blogs and more we now have over 180 million users in more than 230 countries. Incredible work!
Of course. Usually mozilla keeps updating and maintaining their product for another 6 months after release of the new version. So FF2 will be supported till december 2008.
Reason? Windows 9.x is not supported anymore in FF3 for example. Also older pc's might prefer earlier versions. It's very common with software (or OS's)
And nice record
