Greetings! I am currenty running XP 32, but I plan to change to Vista 64 after building new PC. I have Vista 64 disc already, but when i try to run it, it says that setup.exe isnt correct application of win32. So how to do it? Format C:\ first? Or run it from BIOS? Thx

- Insert disk
- Reboot PC
- Go to the boot menu (check the load screen for your mobo, or the manuall for the mobo, for me it's F10)
- Select your DVD drive

Then, in Vista setup, go to advanced options or something and choose to format C before installing.

Do you want to have both Vista and XP installed or just Vista?

its not, you just need to make 2 different partitions and install one of each on seperate partitions.

As twoblacklines said its easy as hell having both on one HDD (having 2 partitions is recommended). If you have compatibility problems with games, programs on Vista, you simply install that on XP. And if later on don't feel like having XP installed anymore-you simply format that partition.
