My and a group of friends want to plan a backpacking trip to Canada after our senior year.  We're looking for a semi-remote trail that doesn't have much on it (like houses and farms and stuff like that), basically we want that in-the-middle-of-nowhere feeling.  A trail in the Ontario area would be ideal, but somewhere else would be alright too.
Does anybody here live in Canada or has been there and knows of some good hiking trails like this?  If you do, that would be

Frontenac Provincial Park (near Kingston, Ontario). They've got miles and miles of hiking trails.

It would cost you about $30 for the night though since it's a provincial park.

If you are hardcore try the west coast trail (Google it) in British Columbia. It made my girlfriend almost cry, and took the shit out of me. (she hates me for bringing up the subject )
If you are looking for a more moderate challenge try some of the trails in Banff National Park or Kaninaskis Country. <---- these one are pretty good imo.

Oh and when is your trip?

He speaks the truth! The West Coast Tail is challanging but very rewarding! I think you can break it up into sections though so you can just hike the easier parts for a couple of nights. Definately worth a look!

I live in British Columbia. Right on the coast in a town called Prince Rupert. We dont exactly have miles of trail but we have MILES AND MILES of logging roads and what not. but they are very tuff roads/trails. If you are into hardcore than this would be good for you. Also the eather is very unpredictable over here. It will be sunny in on part and a mile away it will be raining like crazy. Or just instantly start raining. I suggest you come during summer because that is when the weather is most mild. If you want to see animals like bears, moose, deer and what not, it is great country for that too.

Thanks for the suggestions guys, keep em coming.  We probably won't be looking into the extreme stuff like the west coast trail like rohirm and canuckboi mentioned, as some of the people that will be in the group don't hike as often as me.  So we'll be looking at that moderate stuff.  Also, this will be in the summer of next year.
