Man I would kill for the proper version of Top Gear to be shown. Several years back they ran a half season or so of Top Gear on Discovery here in the states, and for a guy no intrested in cars one bit(myself) I was hooked on the show. This crappy sup-par version is gonna suck, just gonna end up rehashing everything they did in the UK version, but terribly. That and Adam Carolla isnt, and never was funny.
See my signature for high quality rips. The YouTube quality is wretched.

It's all of them together that make it so good though. And yes, it'll be fucking shocking.CapnNismo wrote:
But I think BBC America is a bit behind. They're not showing the most current stuff even when the current stuff is running in the UK ...
Personally, I think Richard Hammond and James May are better than Clarkson. Clarkson is funny as shit, but the other two are a bit more clever at the whole lot.
yeah our FCC sucks balls that why some people (like myself) watch sub versions of anime even if it was ment for kids some times i dont even think that some parts should be edited cause most of it can be interpeted by a little kid. By the way that song you were talking about HurricaИe was Panic at the Disco's "I write Sins not Tragedies" yeah i know that cause I had a preppy girlfriend for a while....(god she was a bitch)HurricaИe wrote:
God I love the FCC @_@KILLSWITCH wrote:
I heard they edited stuff out of it though.TheEternalPessimist wrote:
I dread to think how bad that show is going to be, nothing English translates well over there.
And supprisingly no it hasn't lol, despite the ammount of yank bashing in it

I hate our fucking censorship culture. What pisses me off is how ridiculous and religiously based it is. There was some song they used to play on the radio a lot, one line went "Haven't you people ever heard of closing the god damn door?". Well, on some radio stations they censored out "god" but not "damn." What the fuck?
You can show Jack Bauer torturing people but god forbid he uses the f-word or someone shows their tits.

My state was founded by Batman. Your opinion is invalid.
I think apart from it not translating well with different presenters, it will also be hard to talk about the cars in the same way that they can on the BBC without sponsors, for example if Mercedes was a a sponsor one week, and they made it sound crap, they won't get the sponsor next week.

I'll stay with the BBC America airings. The Us version will suck the bag imo. You just cant replicate Jeremy, Hammond and James May...God what a team hehe.
If you guys check that latest news on Final Gear, NBC is saying that there won't be any censorship for the reviews. If the car is shit, the car is shit.
