George Carlin

He actually lived quite long when you think about his lifestyle when he was younger. I will miss him, but luckily, there's tons of ways to remember him.

My mom went to one of his stand-ups in Baltimore one time and she thought he was great. Never watched his stuff myself.

No doubt Comedy Central will start spamming Dogma as much as it possibly can just because of that small role he played as a Catholic priest.

I never did understand what his position (religiously) was. I know he ripped the catholic church and mocked religion, but then he did so with just about everything. I remember listening to a radio broadcast he did where he reffered to various traditions in American society and he stated:

''I don't reject them outright, but I hold them up for questioning''

Guy was a legend, I cant pick a favourite quote of his but a good philosophical one was:

''I always question the accepted truth''

Damn fucking right.

When I read the paper at work this morning, I had to sit down in shock. I've never had a death of someone I never actually met hit me like that. Terrible, but TrollmeaT is right. Don't mourn, just sit back and watch some of his work in celebration.
