Think they will willingly open up (to IAEA and the rest of the world) their nuclear enrichment facilities, for "peaceful" purposes to the World body? Ever again? I don't.breitbart.com wrote:
BRUSSELS, Belgium (AP) - European Union nations have approved new sanctions against Iran, including an assets freeze of the country's biggest bank.
EU officials say Iran's Bank Melli has been blacklisted by the decision, which was formally adopted without debate at EU talks in Luxembourg on Monday.
Western officials have accused Bank Melli of providing services to Iran's nuclear and ballistic missile programs. The United States placed the bank on its blacklist last year.
The sanctions also include a travel ban on high-level experts dealing with Iran's nuclear program.
Iran has denied pursuing nuclear weapons, saying its program is geared toward generating electricity.

Never. The EU, Russia and China have too many vested interests in Iran. Russia selling anti-missile systems, China buying oil and EU companies investing in the country means all of this posturing is pure theatre.
i think Iran pulled most of the assets a while ago anyway
lets just make Iran a glass creator and jack there oil, the american way
I find it odd that if they simply showed everyone what it is they're really doing, all this would go away, sanctions would be stopped and so on, but instead they decided to take the shady route that just makes people asks questions.
and I ran, I ran so far away
well, Mahmoud Ahmanassijad isn't very popular inside Iran either, I doudb't he will remain in office, and his successor will most likely be somewhat more moderate...
It may be resolved sooner than we think. The Iranian people aren't stupid.

No but they have a lot of pride. They feel like the world is pushing them around and they hate that.S.Lythberg wrote:

Chihuly, anyone?
It doesn't matter who the president is, he has no real power. The real force in Iran is Khamenei.S.Lythberg wrote:

Blackbelts are just whitebelts who have never quit.
Khomeni and Amadinejad banned opposition from the elections, and still lost seats, the people of Iran do not like the direction their country is headed any more than we do.Agent_Dung_Bomb wrote:

They just had "elections", and they banned the opposition. So you're gonna have to wait 4-5 years until Iran can try again (obviously the current regime will just do the same thing then)
The Military seem to be allowing it, that's the difference between countries like Iran, Iraq/Africa and other countries that don't have shit like this. e.g: The Military of the USA/UK would never allow shit like that to happen to its system. Wheras the militaries of Iraq/Iran/African countries are more or less on the complete side of the dictators.
People there simply care less about their country and so let shit like that happen. That's all it boils down to. It's their fault that their countries are shitholes because they can't even stick to their own fucking rules and deal with people who try to break them.
The Iranian Military deserve whatever is coming to them.
The Militaries of all dictators do. Fucking defending the country my arse. You're supposed to prevent dictatorships from arising. Internal and External threats.

So this is pure rhetoric, but when the US says anything, it's warmongering. Nice double standard.CameronPoe wrote:

The EU, Russia and CHina never declared that 'all options were on the table' or that military action was a possibility. Not yet anyway. And not ever in the case of China or Russia in this instance. Unlike the US. To 'warmonger' one has to threaten the use of force. The US are warmongering against Iran in the same vain that Iran is warmongering against Israel (although again Iran are just spouting rhetoric, knowing full well they don't have the military capacity to take Israel on).FEOS wrote:

PS Even if the EU did begin warmongering there would be no double standard: I would condemn it.

Not a bad idea.. people will always need glass.. could be a good alternative to oil revenue and create a lot of new jobs for Iranians... +1SealXo wrote:

If I had a nickel for every time you put that link up I'd be a gozillionaire, if you want people to see it every single time stick it in your sig rather than posting it up in every single thread.rammunition wrote:

But then again going by the numbers you used it appears you took the enemy-inflicted casualties and stacked them on the US side so it would appear that during those conflicts the US was the only side killing anything. Most of those were wars as well, fought against another side that funnily enough was trying to kill them as well.
Of course, that is assuming that they are telling the truth, and that they aren't trying to design nuclear weapons. They may just be playing shady because their plans are somewhat different than they claim.M.O.A.B wrote:

oh, and nice way of trying to revitalize your own failed thread.
They've really brought it on themselves really, in today's world anything nuclear being developed is going to raise eyebrows until its thoroughly proven not to be for weapons production.imortal wrote:
