I love the shock paddles. Whenever I'm a medic and I see someone not paying attention, I'll just run up behind them and administer a nice jolt. Gives me a nice, warm fuzzy feeling inside.

Yeah, *hangs head in shame* I seem to have 8 defib deaths. They were probably when I first started playing, I didn't pay much attention to how I was killed when I first started.
Anyway, I haven't been killed by the defib since. I've learned the game basics and become more aware of the maps, weapons and tactics used by other players so I rarely let anyone get within close range.
At the moment i'm trying like mad to get my knife and explosives badges before the 1.21 patch, hence my claymore kill ratio has gone through the roof.

i have died by shock paddles 238 times. Thats more death than with the GL

Just FYI the deaths indicated in the stats page are not by the defib, but while holding the defib...
So you played over 5 hours with the medic kit but only used the defibs a mere 7 minutes... That's some really quick zapping you do
(anyways it explains why you aren't killed much while holding the defibs, simply because you're not holding them much)

How can you know how many time have you been killed by shock paddles ?

I Asked this for the knife killing and apply to this too, and somebody explained to me, this deaths are when you died carrying your shock paddles out, not that you was killed by shock paddles.

i dont know whether you are being sarcastic or not. the deaths are from you simply holding them in your hands while you die, as many have stated. i have prolly been "paddled" a half dozen times or so. i get so many kills with them by diving into a combat zone to get revives, and instead of switching weapons constantly, i just keep the paddles out... you'd be surprised how many times you can kill with them in a close combat situation, and the long range. plus no tk's!!!!!Poncho wrote:

Cant touch my 387 kills with Shock paddles, or my .74 K/D, i am getting to 1.0
It happens to me all the time, I don't have one kill with the defrilbrator or whatever. I prefer guns over that.
I've been killed once by those things. First time today.
Yeah, it can easily be used instead of the knife, the knife doesn't need to recharge though so defibrillators are more of an "IN YO FACE" kind of thing. I've only killed someone once with them. It's really fun.
The other day I was inspired by this thread so I committed myself to the shock paddles (mostly). I played a match on Warlord (32 people on a 64 size map). Ended the round with 15 shock paddle kills, 8 knife kills, and one kill in a tank. It was really funny to see how many people got really mad at me. After a few of my deaths (23 kills, 29 deaths in the round) I got the face hump. I couldn't help but laugh since it was clear they weren't too happy getting zapped. I ended the match with the highest score (156 if memory serves). I capped flags and healed/revived teammates while doing it. Who says you can't score well when your primary weapon is the shock paddle?
Up to 48 kills and I am gunnin for more tonight. Figure I have 1200+ knife kills so I can sub in some shock paddles for good measure.

Haha yea I learned that you cant zap your own teammate by experianc. I was in Karkand as a medic and one of our guys got "burninated" so I went to zap him and was when I was fairly new so didnt know you had to hit them right on the chest so i just kinda got close to him and no dice, so after recharge I go in for a second try. Well another medic beats me by about 2 miliseconds and as im going to zap the guy he stands up, I was sure I was gonna take him out it was like my 3rd game, so i started throwing around med packs to try and make up for it, but no one died, so i just whistled and walked the other way, probably into an arty strike or tank whore or something, but thats a different story.
