well, the real issue is why democrats (especially liberal democrats) are perceived as soft on taking care of the terrorist situation.

what are they going to do to change perceptions?

Hardly a blip on the scope.

Hillary claimed she would be the best democrat to be able to handle a terrorist attack - yet failed to back it up with her plans on how she would actually do...anything.  if they at least said that they would do x, y, and z, then we might believe that they have thought of the issue.  of course to their defense, they can't say too much since then the terrorists would know what to look out for.  even so, some generalized notions of what might be done could be given...at least.
