Yeah, i just got this mild stabbing pain in my chest.  Right side my perspective (I.E. not the heart), just adjacent to the sternum, and about as high up as my nipple.  Breathing in somewhat heavily, leaning back, bending over intensified it.  Lasted about 10-15 minutes, then vanished entirely.

Seeing as how you guys have no problem diagnosing shit, who has any ideas?

Oh yeah, in b4 yo gonna die, AIDS, etc.

That happens to me too. It's on my left side though. I'll breathe in really deep then the pain will come. I just ignore it and keep inhaling air because that somehow makes it go away and I feel a little pop when it goes.

Are you serious? It's stuff like that which will get you kicked out of pilot training!

It rarely happens. It's just gas.

This one most likely, although not necessarily the diaphragm, could be intercostal muscles, are there any other symptoms?

It's most likley the intercostal muscle (sp) between the ribs having a bit of a hard time when the ribs separate and flex. Just take a few deep breaths and it will go away. I have had it since a kid.

What Adams_BJ said is exactly right - I have had this before.

Your intercostal muscles are having a bit of a hard time - be it because they are expanding from growth or are just under strain. The feeling you get doesn't happen when you breathe lightly - but when you take any hint of a deep breath you get a throbbing pain - yeah? That is exactly what I had. I still get it occasionally, but then it just vanishes.

It's nothing to worry about - it just happens sometimes - I was concerned as anything when it first happened, but I consulted a few people (certified) and all answers came back the same.

I get that once in a while (both sides). Nothing to worry about according to all my family (I'm the only one in my family that isn't a doc. We have everything from dentists over surgeons to psychologists).
once upon a midnight dreary, while i pron surfed, weak and weary, over many a strange and spurious site of ' hot  xxx galore'. While i clicked my fav'rite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning, and my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour, " 'Tis not possible!", i muttered, " give me back my free hardcore!"..... quoth the server, 404.

I was more concerned with my entire left leg feeling like it had been shocked then going numb the other day then spreading up my body.

Im not dead so I'll take it as I didn't have a stroke.
