Looks like Nvidia will have to drop the price of the 260/280 to compete.

Good news for all

Crikey mates!

We've discovered a group of the Wild Ati fanboi, in its nature habitat.

Just waiting to pounce on an innocent nvidia fanboi.

By the looks of those fangs we should keep stay here.

</steve Irwin>

Edit: Its tough between the 4870 and GTX 260.

Those should be the only benches we're looking at imo. (GTX 260 and up)

But you're a rich fucker
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

GX2 is not for me, its for a friends (well I´ll sell it to him for 349€ ), but hey 170€ for a 9800GTX is not bad at all imo

Hah, GameSpot, delving into Tech.  I lol @ them.

But yes, it is epic. (I use that word extremely rarely, so take heed!)

edit: if they performed those benchmarks properly, that CF performance impresses me.

edit2: that's $336.9520!  prices were rumored to be around the $300 mark... although you euros usually have cards for about the same price as us Americans, right, except in Euros?

^ It covers two slots on your motherboard. I don't believe they make cards which plug into two slots.

So if you have a pc with only one pci-e slot you can't have it?

No you silly man, it actually plugs into only one PCI-E slot, but the PCB, heatsink, and fan combined take up two slots on the back of the case.
