BF2S Forums Problems with Bf2 on Vista

What happens when he trys to join other non linux servers? Any errors, kicks?
Chances are he just needs to run in admin mode, but could be something else.

lol now that is a first for, never head that before, how is that even possible, I thought that using Linux based on windows just doesn't work

edit: I did a little googling and it brought up nothing, the only thing that I and someone said this above, but could he have used the linux patch and not the windows patch

Linux and PC computers have different patches.One for linux and one for pc.So apparently your friend downloaded the wrong patch

It can't. And the linux/windows patches are only for servers. All client patches are for windows.
