I'm using a PC with cable modem, a notebook and a PS3.  Is this ok?

yes sir... a great router, alot of my friends use them, and i had one for a while.  it has great firmware (make sure you get the updates) and it really lets you have a lot of control over the settings for security, dhcp, etc.  just make sure to change the default password from "admin" since it's widely known

Do I need any sort of adapter connected to my PS3 or it's enough with the router and the PS3 alone?

You don't need none of that shit for a PS3, just go wireless like that. All you need is the key and shit.

The GL just has more memory than the G, both of which are widely regarded as a couple of the best routers possible - even today, which is a feat, considering they're 802.11g and not 802.11n, which the industry is moving into.

Bottom line: The WRT54G is great (I have one myself), so the WRT54GL should be even better.
