I bought a laptop a couple of months ago (Best Buy had a pretty good deal on one).  I always use IE on my desktop so I naturally started using IE on the laptop.  After visiting a website or two it seems to just hang continually saying on the status bar of IE something like Waiting for Response (I can't remember the exact verbage since I'm here at work on an XP machine that IE works all the time on).  It appears to have sent the website request but is acting like it never receives a response.

I got fed up and downloaded Firefox and it works just fine all the time.

Before you all start saying to just use FF....I want to understand what is making IE hang like that.

Thanks in advance

Truth be told, IE just sucks like that, especially the one with Vista.  It is like Microsoft made Vista hate Internet Explorer

In all seriousness though, you are an idiot for standing by that sad excuse of an internets.

Safari, FF, opera, flock, seamonkey, Epiphany (GNOME GUI), songbird, even good ol netscape...

need i say more?
