I am trying to finish off an application for a new job.  Yet it is not for happening.  I need to complete various online test's and to do so you need the latest Adobe Flash player.  I havent got on well with adobe for a while now (it just doesnt work on mine) but in all honestly I didnt mind, I didnt NEED it for anything.  Now I do.  It tells me it has failed to instal.

I thought perhaps there is an old version fucking things up.  And it is, within the programs there is an old adobe 8.1 and a patch there aswell.  Yet I cannot delete them as it says the ''path'' is wrong.  Essentially it wont uninstal the old adobe, nor will it instal the new.  I have a laptop which I used to do the maths test, but now, I need to complete a checking databases test where speed and accuracy is paramount, I simply cant type quickly and accuratly on my laptop so I have went to the desktop PC but it isnt for happening.

Can anyone help me out?  I could do it on the laptop, but it is going to slow me down, and make a mistake much more likely, which doesnt put me in as good a light.  I have till monday to get this in, help :\?

Plug your mouse and keyboard into your laptop.

I made this happen.

But I don't know how to fix it.

Could you install it on another partition/HD?  Use a different browser?

I don't really know too much about Flash Player...

Nope, it's the very instalation, and a partition isnt really an option.  It would appear am just going to have to use the laptop :\.  I'll use it as much as possible over the weekend to get more used to it, am a quick typer as it is so slowing me down is still going to be quicker than most.

Thanks anyway guys I dont think there is much I can do, with the time restrictions am on.  Serves me right for leaving it so long.

Perhaps you could go to a friend's house or the local library?

Try to manually remove Adobe Flash.  The website will probably have a guide of how to remove all of the registry entries and such for cases such as yours.  I'm sure you can get this working.  Even deleting the Adobe folder in Program Files might fix your problem.

Try reading here

The guy used the Windows Insaller CleanUp Utility

Try that.

Cant you manually try deleting it? Search your pc for "flash" or whatever, and delete the appropiate folders, same for the registry. If you get any "file in use" / "access denied" messages, use Unlocker

What is the exact error message? Worst comes to the worst, install a VM on your desktop.
