in the last few days i've been going after veteran knife badge. nothing special, just 7 knife kills iar. a couple of hours ago i joined an ea official server, wake island. as soon as the spawn screen pops up i notice that i can't choose unlocks... i press tab, look at the score tab and i find myself a private. so i disconnected from the account server, logged in again, joined the server, and finally got to use unlocks. after a while i get my seventh knife kill, and... suprise, basic knife comat award (got 3 months ago) pops up. i look at the scoreboard and i'm still a private, even if i've got my unlocks. two minutes later i got basic engy combat (got it 2 months ago).

Now, the question is...


will i get my veteran knife badge or did i waste a lot of time??


pls tell me that i'll find the silver badge in my bfhq because i can't believe i finally managed to get 7 knife kill iar and didn't get the award...

waste of time, if ure rank fucks up then no points from then on will go onto ure account, u need to restart the game and get ure rank back in order to carry on

I was in a server the other day and I was in a Su-34 as a gunner. After about 15 minutes I get a crew service ribbon.. I'm like wtf, I already have that. So I looked at my score and it shows me as a Gunnery Sergeant.. so I'm like, why did I get a crew service ribbon.. bah, oh well. So a while later I get my basic combat engineer badge (I was trying to get hours for veteran, mind you) and I'm like wow.. that's pretty messed.

But, it did give me the points and hours for my engi.. so ya.

it gives u point for the time and kills but it wont affect ur badges...thats what i think anyway...
cause it happens to me several times also.

jarheadz i see you are first sergeant and have all unlocks except engy and support 2nd weapon. i'm gunnery sergeant, 80 points away from first sergeant, but i miss 4 unlocks. did you get 2 unlocks when rankin up to first sergeant?

Do you have SF?  People with SF get two unlocks instead of one with each promotion containing unlocks.

yes i have special forces, and was bothering which one to unlock between scar-l and p90... this evening i'm gonna unlock both of them :p

i had 1 more kill than the rest of all my team combined.got the gold and points though.

i've seen servers out there that will record your stats and give the standard bf2 awards out.  only the time spent on that server goes to stats for time played there.  same for ranks...which meant that even though i was a 1st sgt...when i logged in there i was a private. 

i played one of these style servers for about a month and got 'myself' upto lance corporal. then i grew bored of not being able to grow towards the greater good of my 'character'.

edit [it should be noted that it was much more difficult to attain lance corporal then as the rank points were much higher in the first few monthes of release.]

don't tell me... i lost veteran knife combat and i don't know when i'll manage to get 7 knife killa iar again. usually i get to 6 then i start being killed by anyone.

and that knife combat badge is only a way to make others earning points killing you. damn it

well at least i got the time spent with engy. only 3 hours away from veteran engy combat lol

if the award doesnt appear ingame on this servers you dont get it.seems these servers dont see our stats as everyone is a private
