Damn was it awesome. Top alcohol funny cars and dragsters, along with a ton of classic cars.
I have never actually been to a real dragstrip and watched real drag racing, so last night was very exciting. I still can't believe how loud those top alcohol cars are.

I got 27 pictures too (sorry that some are blurry. The camera can hardly zoom in, and I couldn't get any good motion shots)

Drag racing is cool in small doses (imo), and for the fan, I'm sure it just rocks hehe.
I got to Thunder Valley in Bristol occasionally, I'm not a drag racing fan, but its always a whoot.

I'm hoping to get a new camera eventually. Then I could have really good, sharp pictures without any noise, plus they would be well zoomed in.

Drag races are pretty fun to watch. My brother completely rebuilt his '89 mustang for drag races. His engine has 550 horses with 600 lbs of torque and he completely stripped everything inside so it only weighs 2700 pounds. He's planning on building a much powerful engine next year. He put the passenger seat in it one time and I got to ride along on the track. it was fucking awesome. It feels like you're going to go through the back of the seat.

i live about 3 miles from Memphis Motorsports Park. ive been tons of times. but its insane how loud they are, i can stand outside and listen to the cars. and this weekend was nascar truck series. so its a constant roar.

The junior class ranges from 8 years old to 16 years old, so you would have to join the Juniors. So I'm guessing you have to be 18 to drive top fuel and pro stock.

I want to race my grandpas 700horse C5vette, are there junior class's for that too?

Oh, well I think if you hold a valid drivers license, you can drive it. If the track is under NHRA regs, and the car runs 9.99 seconds or under, you need a whole crap load of safety equipment though.
