Now, it's like this, when I start my computer,  the fans starts running, I own an AMD computer, which means that the fans are working loud and fast at the beginning of starup, when I press  the powerbutton (about 5sec) and then the fans silence, and doesnt make much noise, but they are still coolin

But one morning when I started the computer,  the fans did not want to slow down, and the screen is non-responsive (light on the screen is orange, instead of green) ... then I plugged out the powercable, and plugged it in again, then I started the computer, and it would startup normally, the fans worked in 5sec, then silenced  .. but in recent times, I have to plug in and out the powercable several times before the computer starts running normally. And this will be noticable on my next electricity bill

Spec.

(About 4 years old)

AMD Athlon 64 3500 +

1GB DDR RAM

GF6200SE TC 256MB

Thank you!

Sounds like the PSU is dying to me.  What brand/model PSU is it, and how long have you been using it?
"people in ny have a general idea of how to drive. one of the pedals goes forward the other one prevents you from dying"
