Not sure if anyone else mentioned this, but from what I remember when searching from graphics cards, the 2600's are absolute shit. They use up way too much power, get way too hot, and don't have anything to show for it. I'd either wait and save enough money to go with a 3650 (which are actually pretty cheap now), or go with the nVidia equivalent to the 2600.

That's what I get for not reading the whole topic... guess I'll delete my post later

They owned 3Dmark, though. A single 2900XT could score shockingly high.

The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

Yeah. The one I got has 256mb of DDR3, a different one had 512mb of DDR2, but I decided against it. Is the DDR2 version that much slower?

I dunno about the desktop version, but the notebook versions of the 8600 GT shows that the DDR3 is significantly faster.
