I just built my first computer:
Intel C2D E8400
Abit IX38 QuadGT
Powercolor Radeon HD 4850
Corsair 8500 2x2GB
Samsung 750GB

running Vista home premium 64 bits version.

Do you guys have any tips or know any good programs that will get me started. Or programs good for monitoring temperatures etc.

I also have one problem that I haven't been able to solve: the audio from my front panel doesnt work, I am using the HDA connection and not the AC'97. And also, in my computer, it says I have a floppy drive - which I dont, can anybody tell me why?

You have to disable the floppy drive in the BIOS.
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP
