Okay so I just received my 20,000 points and was expecting some new unlocks. I really want that new sniper rifle. I have BF2SF so I should be getting 2 new unlocks, but I wasn't promoted. I have all the badges and I have had them sice BEFORE I got 20,000 points so I should have been promoted to First Sergeant but I didn't even get Master Sergeant so I don't know why I wouldn't get either. Even if I didn't have the badges I still should have been promoted to Master Sergeant but I haven't been promoted at all. Is 20,000 the correct amount of points for advancement or is the UBAR website incorrect? If I should have gotten my promotion can anyone tell me why I wouldn't have and if there is a way to get them. I have looked through thr forums for this but I don't see anyone who has had my same problem.

Also I should have received my veteran's knife comabt. I have 50+ knife kills and I spent a round getting 7 kills IAR so I should have gotten my new Veteran's Knife Combat badge but didn't. Is EA just having problems with the promotions/awards in general?

Check BFHQ if you have 20,000 points or more. Play a game, score one point =>promotion.
That happens, when the stats servers are busy and don't update in real time.

20,000 is the right amount of points. My friend just got promoted. I'm <2,000 points away so I'm going for my basic knife combat badge first so I can get First Sergeant , (I foresee a lot of Purple Hearts in my future!).

I'd say give it a day or so and check BFHQ and a few stats sites.

U've gotta play a little bit more. Most of the times promotions r got after a couple of hundred points. Let's say something like 20, 200. Or 20, 350. Maybe more. No more than 20, 600 for sure.

Um yah exactly just what EA intended. Why they really meant to say a soft 20,000 points-ish. 20 THOUSAND is THOUSAND not 20,600.

It's a stat server update problem KD.InstinctiveKiller not an operator head space problem like Trooper_Collider is experiencing.

Just play the dammed game and don't worry about your stats so f-ing much. When the server catches up to you, you'll get them. In another 600 points-ish sort of kind of way.

90% of my promotions have happenned after the UBAR point amount. i had to go into a game and get one global point and it happenned. if it still doesnt happen, then the stats haven't updated yet so, according to EA, you don't have 20,000 points yet. but when the stats update, you will have 20,000. then go in and get one point. it should work out fine.

when in doubt about stats or unlocks, just wait. be patient. sometime in the next 36hours, you will be where you want to be.

um when i got 75000 it wuoldn't promote me
i promoted me when i went on another server the server iwas on was ranked

u usually have to get off the server u play on. Make absolutely certain u have the required points for the promotion, take a 5 min. break and voila, ur stats should update (make sure u close the game itself for the stats to update). Then join a ranked server and u have got the promotion.
