at the top of my IE I've got google toolbar, yahoo toolbar and aol toolbar.

I want to remove yahoos and AOL but I don't know how to.

I've gone into settings to the far right but theres nothing there to delete the entire toolbar only few of the buttons

There's your problem!
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

Right click on the tool bar area.. it should come up with a list of all active toolbar "tools" with check marks... Un-check the yahoo and aol ones ftw

This can be effective but leaves some addons still resident in memory.

You should also go into Control Panel and actually uninstall the toolbars.

It's better than IE in every way. MS is with web browsers like AMD is with CPUs; Two generations behind. But these guys don't have lack of funding.

FF is so much faster browsing the web. I use adscript to block any sfcript for any website I view, once Iknopw its safe I allow it permanently. Has all the tools I need built in, with a few add-ons. It has a more awesome bar then IE. Did I already say its faster? yeh it really is...

DID you get the yahoo and AOL toolbars off??

Yeah this is the best way, then its actually off your system,

You should also be able to choose view -> toolbars, or something along those line... That will get rid of it, but it will still be on your system.

Firefox allows a lot of really nice add-ons, like programs to let you download youtube videos... and adblock plus, which was created by god and carried down to earn on the wings of angels.

While this was a few years ago, I noticed ALL the problems I had with pop ups and unwanted stuff stopped as soon as I started using fire fox.
They also had it on all the computers at the JC I went to, where there is a lot of people doing there best to mess things up.... I think it says something that they would go out of their way to remove IE and put on FF.

Its free, download and try... you probably wont go back. (make sure to get adblock too)

True this is best, but you have to be able to identify what it is that you need uninstall.

But ...

Tools->Manage Addons->Enable or Disable Addons ...

tells you absolutely what IE has load (NOT the same as not showing/hiding the toolbar, this is different)

FF is targeted for browser hijacking less by the porn you download.

I stopped using FF just because it had issues with memory leaks.
